Just got my visa. Like they say in the new Taco Bell Crunchwrap Supreme commercials, "You're good to go".

BC and I are gonna tear shit up n up n up in China! We will mount assaults on many venues and fortresses and distant lands. Many treasures will be plundered by these mother-marauders.

UPDATE
Turns out David Cross and The Strokes' moppet head Albert Hammond Jr. are opening this new venue together. They bought the space that is currently known as Eleven.
Eleven is also known as the site of mine and Hall O Donnell's birthday bash 2005 in April, where Hall took off all his clothes.
I wonder what DC and AHjr. talk about when they hang out? Interpol? Pitchfork? Sufjan? Mr. Show on DVD? The weather?

Word on the street is that Pitchfork darling David Cross is opening a bar/venue in the LES. Maybe I should say word on the Orchard Street, as that is its purported location.

Speaking of Pitchfork darlings, what's up with those guys? I heard from 2 writers at The Fader that some indie bands pay for good reviews, a doller per tenth of a point, so a 9.5 would cost $95. Interpol I'm looking at you...

PFork's cred is def suspect.

All I can say is I'm totes gonna pick up the "Laguna Beach: The Real O.C." DVD that just came out. 3-disc set, filled with extras, if dvd extras were a soup, I'd go skinny dipping in them.

American box office is suffering its worst slump in cinematic history. And I think we all know the film that is going to lift the summer out of it's doledrums.... (drum roll pleaze)...

Michael Bay's "The Island"
You just know a movie is gonna be good when every time you turn on the TV there is an ad for it, and you can't go anywhere in the city and not see Ewan McGregor and ScoJo's beautiful face.

The only movie I'm more excited about is Vinny Chase starring in James Cameron's "Aquaman." I've already pre-ordered the 2-disc director's cut on Amazon. If One-click buying is wrong, I don't want to be right.
